Panda wireless not working driver#
I tried updating the adapter driver and Windows 10 says the driver I have is current.Īny ideas? I’m temporarily connected by a long-ass wire running down the stairs but that’s obviously not going to work for a long-term solution. I tried disconnecting all my devices so it was just my mouse + keyboard and the wireless adapter - no change. It also gums up windows tasks so nothing else windows-related responds. The adapter sees my network, but when I try to connect it just sits there saying “Verifying and Connecting” - it will do that forever, and never time out or give an error or respond in any way. Since the initial problem I’ve upgraded to Windows 10.Īnd the adapter I just purchased is a Panda 300Mbps Wireless N USB Adapter However, we’ve now moved into a new house and I’m theoretically just using a wireless connection - and I even bought a brand-new wireless adapter that’s supposed to work fine but I’m having the exact same issues … can’t connect to any network.

I didn’t worry too much about it at the time since I had a wired connection and because my adapter was really old and I figured the drivers were probably just out of date. After a random update, the wireless stopped working.

Driver issues?Įdit: I ended up finding a solution to anyone who also needs help.I’m sort of frustrated with an issue where I can’t connect using a wireless adapter.Ī couple of months ago I was running Windows 7 and everything was working fine. PS: Interestingly enough, this device is fully functional when I connect it to my ARCH machine. I have no idea what to do, please send help lol. As far as I know, it is the latest version of the drivers from the Debian repos. I have the latest drivers from backports and from firmware-misc-nonfree. resources: irq:48 memory:f1000000-f1001fffĬonfiguration: broadcast=yes driver=rt2800usb driverversion=4.9.0-3-amd64 firmware=0.36 link=no multicast=yes wireless=IEEE 802.11 I also ran lshw to show more information about the device. ieee80211 phy2: rt2x00lib_rxdone: Error - Wrong frame size
ieee80211 phy2: rt2800usb_fill_rxdone: Error - Bad frame size 13153, forcing to 0 IPv6: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): wlx9cefd5ffca97: link is not ready wlx9cefd5ffca97: aborting authentication with c8:a7:0a:98:79:9a by local choice (Reason: 3=DEAUTH_LEAVING) I ran dmesg and I got some interesting logs when connecting to the AP. The device is detected and It is able to scan networks, however it is not able to connect to the access point. The issue is when I try to connect to an access point using the device. I'm running Debian 9.1 Stretch with the x86_64 4.9.0-3 amd64 Kernel. I recently purchased myself a Panda Wireless PAU009 USB wifi adapter for my Debian machine, but it doesn't seem to be working.
